About This CD-ROM
This CD-ROM contains dozens of working examples that illustrate topics discussed in this book. You can access them all through this page. You can also open the HTML pages and movies in a text editor or QuickTime Player to see how they're put together. In addition to the examples, you'll find a Resources folder, a Software folder, a Tools folder, and a Demos folder, all described below.

Example Content
You can access the examples for each chapter by clicking buttons in the panel below. The panel is a QuickTime movie. The three red buttons at the top are for this page, the Resources page, and the Audio Tour. First time here? Take the audio tour!

The blue buttons above take you to the examples page for each chapter. There's a folder on the CD for each chapter listed. The other folders are listed below.

Software
You need to install QuickTime in order to use this CD. Run the installer for your operating system (Windows or Mac OS). It's in the Software folder.

Tools
The Tools folder contains a Mac folder and a Win folder--each has several useful tools. Install them; Enjoy them; They're free! (There's also a Sprites folder--it contains wired sprite controls you can add to your own movies.)

Demos
The Demos folder contains trial versions of some great software. Again, there's a Mac folder and a Win folder, with goodies in both. Check it out.

Resources
The red Resources button opens links to websites where you can get information, free tools, software, and hardware to help you create and deliver QuickTime content. There are also links to mailing lists where you can get help, and to other books on QuickTime.

By the way, if you're running Internet Explorer for Windows, you'll be prompted to download the QuickTime ActiveX control the first time you load this page, unless you already have it. Get it!
